Please watch The Ataxian and then click here to learn about Race Across America, a 3,000 mile bike ride from California to Maryland. A team from Ride Ataxia, including Kyle Bryant and another young man with Friedreich's Ataxia, will be participating to raise awareness of FA and raise money for research. The ride begins in California on June 12, with riders taking turns riding around the clock until they reach Annapolis, Maryland nine days later.
There are approximately 15,000 people worldwide with FA, not enough for people to be aware of the disease unless they know someone with it. Researchers are working on an effective treatment and cure and have made some exciting discoveries, but there is still a ways to go and it is a race against time for Craig and others like him.
